Not all punctures are repairable. In fact, simply running over a screw in your driveway could damage your tyre beyond repair. Then you can be forced to pay for another new tyre!

For just 10% of RRP per tyre, the Bridgestone Road Hazard Warranty covers your tyres from accidental damage including:

  • Irreparable punctures

  • Gutter damage

  • Damage from potholes or uneven roads

  • Breaks or cuts from foreign objects on the road

And entitles you to the following:

  • Puncture repairs at no additional cost
Any repairable puncture will be fixed at no additional cost for the legal tread life of the tyre.

  • Tyre replacement
If the tyre cannot be repaired, we’ll fit a replacement at no additional cost within the first 12,000km or 12 months, whichever comes first.
  • Protection for the life of the tyre
For the remainder of the legal tread life of the tyre (after 12,000km or 12 months), if the tyre can’t be repaired, you will only pay for the tread you’ve used. For example, if you have only used 15% of the legal tread depth you will only pay 15% of the tyre’s current value to replace it.

How to make a claim

To claim a tyre replacement or puncture repair at no additional cost through your Road Hazard Warranty, simply present your Road Hazard Warranty card (or your invoice) in-store. You may also be asked for your vehicle’s registration number to assist staff to find your warranty details.

Your Road Hazard Warranty can be claimed at the store where you purchased it, or any other Bridgestone Select or Bridgestone Tyre Centre, with proof of original purchase.

Road Hazard Warranty terms and conditions.

To qualify for the Bridgestone New Zealand Road Hazard Warranty Program (RH Warranty Program), tyres must:

i. be purchased and installed as a retail cash sale at either a Bridgestone Select or Bridgestone Tyre Centre in New Zealand; and

ii. be Bridgestone, Firestone, Supercat, or Dayton branded, for passenger, SUV, or van vehicles; and

iii. purchased with the Road Hazard Warranty in the same transaction.

Cover

The RH Warranty Program covers accidental damage for the life of the tyre, including irreparable and repairable punctures, gutter damage, potholes or damaged roads, and breaks or cuts from foreign objects on the road.

Repairable damages will be fixed with a puncture repair, and tyres with a warrantable defect within the first 12,000km or 12 months will be replaced at no additional cost. After 12,000km or 12 months, a pro-rated credit will be given based on the remaining tread depth to be applied to the replacement tyre(s) supplied and installed by the Bridgestone New Zealand store.

Exclusions

The warranty does not cover damage caused by vandalism, motor accidents, fire, theft, snow chains, competition or racing, unsealed roads, under-inflation or over-inflation, defective vehicles or faulty steering/suspension, overloading or exceeding speed limits, poor puncture repairs, tread wear indicators, poor mounting or dismounting techniques, damaged or faulty rims, incorrect rim fitment, chassis dynamometers, or towed vehicles.

Claim

To make a claim, contact the store where you purchased the RH Warranty Program and present your proof of purchase. We will then assess the tyre and damage and advise you of the next steps.
